Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of critical equipment and address failures that impact hotel operations.
- Review and approve purchase orders that are essential to hotel operations.
- Consult with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, construction issues, MEP systems, Testing & Commissioning (T&C), and Fire & Life Safety.
- Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients on behalf of the owner or developer.
- Plan, organize, and direct activities related to the maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
- Prepare and submit cost estimates, progress reports, and cost tracking reports.
- Develop and implement quality control programs.
- Provide advance equipment specifications and support preferred purchasing decisions.
- Maintain communication with corporate colleagues.
- Mentor and guide employees to ensure adherence to service standards and procedures.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to recruit, interview, and hire Engineering team members.
- Report to work on time, wearing the appropriate uniform and name badge at all times, while adhering to the company's personal appearance standards.
- Budget Planning and Control
- Comply with the Human Resources Policies and Procedures established in the Associate Handbook.
- Fully understand and comply with the company’s policies regarding fire safety, hygiene, health, and occupational safety.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or related field of study
- 5+ years' of management experience in the field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Project Management Skills
- English B2
