Senior Java Backend Engineer – Integrations at BairesDev

In this role, you'll write backend Java services that power integrations with external systems, applying strong API design and event-driven synchronization patterns. Handling OAuth and multi-tenant permissioning, you'll build the authentication and authorization logic that keeps connectors secure across many tenants. This is your opportunity to apply deep Java backend expertise to integration-heavy systems, solving the reliability and versioning challenges unique to connecting a platform with many external services.

What You'll Do

  • Develop Java backend services powering API and system integrations, including REST, webhooks, and event-driven sync.
  • Implement OAuth and multi-tenant permissioning and authentication logic.
  • Build ETL pipelines including connectors, parsers, and schema normalization.
  • Develop integrations with platforms such as M365, Outlook, Teams, Slack, or iManage.
  • Ensure connector reliability through contract testing, versioning, and regression coverage.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in Java.
  • Deep experience with API and systems integration, including REST, webhooks, and event-driven sync.
  • Experience with OAuth and multi-tenant permissioning/auth flows.
  • Background with ETL and data pipelines, including connectors, parsers, and schema normalization.
  • Experience integrating with platforms such as M365, Outlook, Teams, Slack, or iManage.
  • Experience with QA, contract testing, and connector reliability including versioning and regression across integrations.
  • Advanced proficiency in English.

Nice To Have

  • Experience with AWS, including Lambda, SQS/SNS, and S3 for integration workloads.
  • Familiarity with MCP or agentic tool integration.
  • Experience with Bedrock.
  • Background using Java for core platform interfacing or SDK connectors.
  • Legal tech or eDiscovery domain exposure.
