NOC Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong NOC Engineer to join our global Technology Operations team. The NOC Engineer ensures the availability, health, and performance of business-critical network and infrastructure across our global B2B platform, supporting both on-premises and cloud environments. The role covers proactive monitoring, incident response, documentation, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure real-time monitoring of application, network, database, and server events using Zabbix, Cacti, Pingplotter, and other tooling as part of follow-the-sun coverage.
• Analyze real-time data streams to preemptively address potential issues before customer impact.
• Respond to monitoring triggers, perform Tier 1 troubleshooting, and coordinate with resolver groups across the global team.
• Open, track, and escalate tickets for ISP and service-related issues with carriers and vendors.
• Create clear chronological and resolution reports for each incident.
• Support provisioning, configuration, and health checks of monitoring systems.
• Collaborate with Service Desk, Infrastructure, Security, and Incident Management teams.
• Participate in post-incident reviews and contribute to RCA and problem management activities.
• Maintain process documentation, monitoring guides, and escalation procedures.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor\'s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years in a NOC, Systems, or Network Analyst/Engineer role at scale.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, OSI model, switching, and internet routing.
• Hands-on experience with Cacti, Zabbix, Pingplotter, or comparable monitoring tools.
• Experience troubleshooting Cisco routers and switches, F5 BIG-IP, and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Understanding of website operations: WAN, DNS, SSL certificates, URLs.
• Strong English communication skills.
Preferred
• Microsoft and/or Cisco certifications (CCNA, MCITP, or equivalent).
• Experience with F5, Palo Alto or similar security appliances.
• Familiarity with cloud monitoring tooling (Datadog, Grafana Cloud, Azure Monitor).
• Automation and scripting: Bash, Python, PowerShell.
• Familiarity with ITIL or similar incident management frameworks.
• Experience supporting B2B environments with contractual SLAs.
