ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader, located within Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health, seeks highly qualified candidates for the position of Programmatic Technical Officer, based in Panama. The incumbent will be responsible for the implementation of project activities at the national level in all technical assistance topics under the project Strengthening Regional, National, and Subnational Institutional Capacities to Sustainably Combat HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis under the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).


The candidate must have University studies in the field of Health, preferably in Medicine. In addition, it is desirable that they have Postgraduate studies in Public Health or in HIV Care and Management. They must have experience in providing technical assistance to the Ministry of Health or other State institutions, as well as in implementing interventions for the prevention of HIV, other sexually transmitted infections (STIs), or other events related to communicable infections. Demonstrated experience in monitoring projects and meeting programmatic goals is required. In addition, they must have experience in the development of training on HIV management and/or other public health issues. Finally, you must have an advanced level of the English language.
