Role Overview:

The Americas Commercial Supply Planning Manager will be accountable for providing supply visibility to the IBP process and ensure that the Americas is receiving the necessary supply to support a 95% Fill Rate. They will allocate supply across affiliates and channels allowing for proper inventory optimization in trade. They will be critical partners in the IBP process to drive supply sufficiency, excess inventory prevention and retailer satisfaction. CRSM brand planners will be critical partners in category supply reviews and Global alignment meetings. They will be the liaison to New Launch readiness and Phase in/Phase out processes. Main Metrics will include Fill Rate results, Inventory management, Launch Sufficiency, Revenue and Growth in the Americas all while delivering cost savings and increased cash productivity.

Responsibilities

Execution, Analysis and Transactions: 90%

  • Review new orders for supply supportability; fulfill actionable orders by FIFO and cancel partial and unsupportable quantities
  • Based on projected supply availability, communicate order modification details to customer for future replenishment
  • Develop hub to affiliate deployment strategies such as delayed deployment
  • Execute against the plan and provide updates to regional network
  • Manage Regional Freshness management and rework, Review with Quality Teams
  • Alignment with Americas DCs / logistics (LATAM specific)
  • Responsible to review Air freight proposals, provide details for approval and request transportation mode changes
  • Collaborate with NPL planner on NPL readiness
  • Execute regional allocation overrides to allocation priorities (Rebalance inventory based on commercial decision through creation of an STO)
  • Align Commercial/Brand on allocated product mix (i.e. saleable vs. promo) to support campaigns with constrained supply
  • Identify and review supportability issues and execute what-if scenarios and allocation updates to address constraints based on drivers (IBP and R&O) as per alignment with DP
  • Identify and review supportability issues and address critical constraints based incremental demand data and Brand escalations
  • Review exceptions within Region and resolve where possible with existing inventory
  • Receive final list of unresolved alerts and work with stakeholders to further resolve gaps.
  • Coordinate with Regional Brand Leads for allocation decisions within the Region
  • Customer service management
  • Prepare inputs for regional PPI generation, by market, affiliate, category & brand (as necessary)
  • D-chain and OOS Management
  • Pro-actively work on improving KPIs by focusing on opportunity areas
  • Provide visibility to SKU Transition and Retirement and work closely with the commercial partners to execute with customers in mind
  • Provide visibility to OOS and low supply items to the commercial partners and execute based on insights of customer prioritization

Inventory Management

  • Review status and information on inventory levels and targets (Inventory Snapshot, Safety Stock Targets, Inventory Build, Bridge Stock, Excess/Surplus)
  • Spearhead excess inventory collaborations with the commercial region to reduce inventory and avoid destructions. Keep the team accountable by tracking action plan actualization
  • Analyze inventory positions for excess quantities and report Regional Excess Analysis and financial snapshot
  • Review Inventory Aging & About to Expire and action through collaboration with Brand Ops/Global partners for redeployment, destruction or donations.
  • Balance inventory across DCs

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree and a supply planning background.
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience in Supply Chain, preferably with experience in inventory management and supply planning in the beauty / cosmetic industry
  • Knowledge of, and experience with supply planning and inventory management tools (e.g., SAP, E2Open, etc.)
  • Deep knowledge of SAP transactions, Excel & Power Bi and other reporting methods.
  • Experience with managing multiple team requirements within Supply Planning or a related function
